Introducing the RenderBEAST XLR
Designed for high-performance photogrammetry use, the RenderBEAST XLR is a specialized powerhouse rackmount designed to meet the rigorous demands of photogrammetry and 3D modeling by optimizing multi-node near real-time rendering and single-engine photogrammetry workloads.
Purpose-Built for Excellence
RenderBEAST XLR configurations range from single CPU/GPU up to 7 GPUs in a single chassis. Based on either the 13th Generation Core series of processors or the AMD Threadripper platform the RenderBEAST XLR stands as a testament to RAVE’s commitment to performance. With clock speeds up to 5+ GHz and up to 64 cores on a single CPU, the systems are well-equipped for both parallel workloads and multiple virtual machines.
Seamless System Architecture
The RenderBEAST XLR features a harmonious integration of CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, and motherboard. This seamless synergy ensures swift data access, uninterruped data flow, and system stability.
The system comes in a custom liquid-cooled, half-depth 4U chassis, prepared for the heaviest of photogrammetric workloads. From GPU selection to a custom 3D printed heat shroud, every aspect has been meticulously designed with the client experience and workload in mind.
Virtualization for Enhanced Utilization
Early testing with photogrammetry workloads revealed that virtualization significantly enhances resource utilization. The systems combination of high clock-speeds and up to 64-cores powering up to eight high-performance VMs to deliver multi-tasking capabilities that can drastically reduce processing times.
The RenderBEAST XLR’s multi-node VM configuration can process extensive datasets in a fraction of the time compared to other systems. It offers nearly a 70% reduction in processing time when using iTwin multi-engine reconstruction software.
The Importance of Hardware in Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry is the process of using a series of 2D images to create 3D models. This process requires computationally intensive software that collects and measures a wide variety of data, resulting in massive files that can take hours or even days to process. The software’s ability to render detailed 3D models of the acquired data relies heavily on the computer’s hardware components. RAVE’s RenderBEAST XLR is not just another computer system; it’s a specialized rackmount powerhouse optimized to meet the rigorous demands of photogrammetry and 3D modeling in a fraction of the time.
